Recently I learned how much I love the New York subway. Growing up in Texas, I’ve had very little experience with public transportation and have always been fascinated by it. The New York subway opened in 1904. It is was one the world’s oldest public transit systems. It started as just a few stations but has grown into 472 different stations. It is said that the trains see over 5.6 million riders a week.
